Rule of Prayer

When it comes to prayer, I have a strict, no wavering policy. I believe that if you tell someone you are going to pray for them that you darn well better do just that.
I have a lot of distractions in my life. So, my way to ensure that I walk the walk, and talk the talk is to immediately pray for someone the moment I become aware of their need. Not while they are talking about the issue of course. I want to be attentive and ask questions so I can clearly know how to pray.
But, if I tell you I am going to pray for you, I do. The moment you leave my presence I do just that. That way I make sure that I have done what I said I would do. It is amazing how just the act of praying immediately helps me to remember those people later that night or maybe even the next day.
So, most of the time when I tell you I'm going to pray for you, you are getting prayed for several times. And if I tell you that I’ve prayed for you, I have.
Prayer is an important promise that should always be kept.
